Banana Lab

Sustainability requires the consideration of all aspects of a products life span. From the efficient use of resources to a considered and proper disposal of waste. I have developed a new recycling process “Collect, Create, Compost” to allow for the creation of sustainable products.

My biomaterial uses banana peels to create a range of biodegradable banana products. Extensive testing and development throughout the year, has allowed me to create a quality material and a simple recipe for manufacture of banana products, such as bags, and vessels.

 My recycling system facilitates the collection and manufacture of the banana material and allows the public and members of the community to set up their own banana material production facilities. Creating a new recycling system that can be used with in the home and community, promoting making with in the home and a sustainable, biodegradable future.
